Lodge Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven 6-Quart vs Vintage Griswold Skillet

“Came across this at random while poking around estate sales in my area, box was unopened and as it was a Sunday they were practically giving it away. From the newspaper packing material it appears to have been manufactured in 1973 and from the receipt on the box it was then sold in 1982. After that from what I gather it sat undisturbed in this persons house till they passed. Now it's here. I've got a couple of other Griswolds, none in this great of condition, but the others have the traditional cross shaped branding on the bottom. This one is completely bare though, which was odd to me. Can anyone verify if this is a thing that went on during that time period?”

“Lodge makes extremely decent enameled cast iron. I've had a dutch oven from them for the last 8 years and it's held up great. They've got a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects too, so as long as you don't drop it or leave it on the stove on high for 3 hours it should last you forever.”
