+6 ptsโ$200 to cover 1,100 square feet isn't realistic, even if you planned to go the DIY route. Your best bet is to get a purifier you can place in close proximity to the litter box. If your aim it to stay under $200 for this one purifier, go for the Winix 5510. It's the slightly upgraded version of the 5500-2. It has a nice pelleted carbon filter which is great for odors. The 5510 is rated for 390 square feet based on its highest fan speed. You probably won't want to blast it 24/7 so let's bump the square footage down to 275 square feet I'd also recommend Rocco & Trixie litter box odor eliminator and switching litters.โ

+2 ptsโYes. 5510 uses Filter Q. 5500-2 uses Filter H. Currently (and for a while) Q filters arenโt being sold on Amazon via Winix officially. It is only available on their actual website for $79. But poor reviews are showing that customers are revealing that 5510 & 5500-2 filters are NOT compatible.โ

+7 ptsโI have two barely used 600S that emit obnoxious foul smelling odor and fill the room with VOCs. Complete waste of money and we purchased extra filters too. Please update if you ever get anywhere. This is starting to seem like a widespread problem they're ignoring from what I've seen lately here.โ
