“I can't get over this post. Saying Reolink failures are unacceptably high and then suggesting Anpviz and Hiseeu and unbranded AliExpress cameras? It just doesn't add up.”

“Like others have said, get a PoE camera doorbell that records directly to an NVR. Reolink makes one. Doorbird is another. Ubiquiti makes one as well if you're in their ecosystem. Find one you like and use it. This is assuming you either have a Cat5e/Cat6 cable at your doorbell, which is becoming more common with newer homes, at least in the US. If you don't, a WiFi doorbell camera is the next best thing, as long as it's not a camera that can only use cloud storage like Ring, Google/Nest, etc. Most manufacturers that make PoE doorbells also make a WiFi version.”
