Garmin vivoactive 5 vs Huawei Watch GT 4

“SpO2 is usually around those values, to check if it works properly you gotta see if its able to detect a drop in your oxygen saturation when it happens, which is not a scenario you get in your everyday life. I sincerely don't care much about SpO2 parameter, if I'd be in need of checking mine or someone else saturation I would never use a watch. Yet, in a YouTube video the reviewer went on a plan and measured his blood saturation there and GT4 overestimated all values (giving ~98/99 when his saturation dropped due to altitude). Once again, don't care about this parameter but I wouldn't trust that watch in recording it. I'll use this conversation to ask you a few questions about the GT4 if you don't mind, I think that this will work as well to understand if buying it or going for the balance. - I see you answered about the altimeter, thanks for that! Does it also track staircase steps? - is there anything like Readiness? - how's the gym app? What does it do, which infos and functionalities gives? - does the watch allow playback control of Spotify and tidal? (I'm more interested in tidal) - how's the compatibility for no-huawei android phones? (in case you got one). Do you miss out smth? If you can answer some of these question I'd really appreciate!”

“I personally like the look of gt4 more, Vivoactive 5 has a bit outdated look imo, more like an old pixel/galaxy watch 2? Also check out pin connector vs wireless charging, Garmins tend to have a problem with that. On the other hand, if you like smaller watches, Garmin is for you but also keep in mind that smaller watch comes with a smaller screen.”
