FiiO FT1 vs HiFiMan Sundara

“Ignore the idiots OP, just because some people got a good set doesn't mean the QC doesn't seem to be shit and there are some people who just can't accept that it's not user error. FT1/FT1 Pro QC just seems to be a hit or miss. I have the same issue as you, got my FT1 a week ago, the screw on the exact same spot is broken for me. I recorded the whole thing, from unboxing it to discovering the right ear cup was loose, then finding the broken screw and the washer in the box. Packaging was solid, the case is amazing, but that nut was broken inside the case. I am waiting for the vendor to look at the whole video and get back to me about a possible replacement, but its Christmas week and I am stuck. It's bad for you though, mine's just a personal splurge and not a gift for someone else.”

“I ordered a brand new (supposedly) pair of Sundaras from HiFiMan's Amazon store, and upon opening the box I noticed white dusty stuff on the open back of the headphones, in the finer mesh material. I knew HiFiMan has a reputation for QC issues but I was not expecting *mold*. I contacted customer service about it and sent photos and microscope images. Here's hoping they have a good response. Definitely disappointed but I guess that's the risk you take.”
