“Ignore the idiots OP, just because some people got a good set doesn't mean the QC doesn't seem to be shit and there are some people who just can't accept that it's not user error. FT1/FT1 Pro QC just seems to be a hit or miss. I have the same issue as you, got my FT1 a week ago, the screw on the exact same spot is broken for me. I recorded the whole thing, from unboxing it to discovering the right ear cup was loose, then finding the broken screw and the washer in the box. Packaging was solid, the case is amazing, but that nut was broken inside the case. I am waiting for the vendor to look at the whole video and get back to me about a possible replacement, but its Christmas week and I am stuck. It's bad for you though, mine's just a personal splurge and not a gift for someone else.”

“Sundara: 3x (L driver failure, R driver failure, headband faulty) Edition XS: 3x (L driver faulty, faulty headband, damaged grills) Ananda Stealth: was fine but sold Arya Stealth: has been great, def seems to have higher QC. I'm stopping at Arya Stealth. I think the lower models have really crappy QC and Hifiman doesn't care. It's prob cheaper to keep the corners cut like they are and replace them than to invest in better QC. You get what you pay for. Unfortunately with Hifiman they sound levels ahead of their price point, but build quality is shit. I've had probably 10 Sennheisers over the years and never had a single issue.”
