The silnylon is fine, but I use a polycro footprint (about 50 g). I cannot imagine either getting shredded at all even on granite. Besides, DCF is trivially patched. I suspect silnylon is as well. I do carry both DCF patch/tape and silnylon patch in my repair kit.”
