I hate using battery powered headphones because they are just permanently dead in 5-10 years, where I expect my HD6XX to be on its 4th set of pads still going strong in 20. Throwing away Bluetooth devices also adds to e waste.ā

+13 ptsāI'm not sure if the HD 6XX can really take too much EQ in the sub-bass because it could start to distort. The Edition XV not only has more sub-bass out of the box, but could probably handle a bigger boost in the sub-bass as well. In fact, poor sub-bass performance is why I sold my HD 660S2, as it just got destroyed by the Ananda Nano even though I put EQ on both of them. And the HD 660S2 is actually better in the sub-bass than the HD 6XX. Luckily, Sennheiser has been cooking recently with the HD 490 Pro which has some more sub-bass than the 660S2 and comfort better than the Ananda Nano.ā
