People have been building flat and level for millenia with string and water. You'll want a 360 or rotary for site work. Cross line lasers are a great tool as well, tons of applications. Amazon lasers are better than cheap name brand ones. Worth it to spend more here. Green is much easier to see in most light situations, costs accordingly. For your specific project, I probably wouldn't use one for whatever my $0.02 is worth.”
