I've only owned blundstones and felt too \~butch\~ in them/they feel too utilitarian, and a heeled pair of L'intervalles which were easily the most uncomfortable pair of shoes I've ever worn, so I assumed all heeled boots Might Just Be Like That. Good to know not the case for MM. I have plantar fasciitis and typically add a comfort insole to mitigate pain, so yeah whatever will be least likely to exacerbate pain is what I'll go with. “How on earth do I figure out the sizing on Levi’s 501s? I got a pair of Levi 501s (from Vinted) in my usual waist measurement. They HANG off me and I can fit an entire Birkenstock sideways between me and the waistband. But they’re cute with a belt cinching them in, so that’s fine. I wanted a pair that fits better, so I bought another pair (also on Vinted), one inch smaller in the waist, no other discernible difference. On these, I can’t even close the bottom button. How am I supposed to work out what size I am when the inches don’t even work?!!”
