Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro vs FiiO FT1

“Ignore the idiots OP, just because some people got a good set doesn't mean the QC doesn't seem to be shit and there are some people who just can't accept that it's not user error. FT1/FT1 Pro QC just seems to be a hit or miss. I have the same issue as you, got my FT1 a week ago, the screw on the exact same spot is broken for me. I recorded the whole thing, from unboxing it to discovering the right ear cup was loose, then finding the broken screw and the washer in the box. Packaging was solid, the case is amazing, but that nut was broken inside the case. I am waiting for the vendor to look at the whole video and get back to me about a possible replacement, but its Christmas week and I am stuck. It's bad for you though, mine's just a personal splurge and not a gift for someone else.”

“Sadly the cult that seems to have formed around the 990s is completely undeserving. I am sorry you dont like them and were lead to believe you would. The 990s are sadly just not a very easy going headphone. They work for some people but for a large majority of people they are just not enjoyable. If you can return them I would suggest exploring that route and maybe look at the dt880 if you want to stay within beyer or the hd6xx if you in north america”
