Even using a botanical gel can help I recommend innersense, mizani , or AG gel mousse. It seems based on the pictures you might need more moisture as well , maybe a good refresher spray in the morning to help and make sure it doesn’t mat and keep it moisturized. Moisture is key to helping with tangles and matting , make sure your deep conditioning once a week at least especially if you have higher porosity.”
