If you have thick curly hair like 3b and up, Camille rose and kinky curly gel If you have thinner more looser curls do the Jessie or not your mothers. No Shea moisture. They ruined their company and formulas

If the Camille Rose leave in left your hair frizzy and crunchy, you most likely need to avoid products with aloe vera in them. I’d recommend kinky curly knot today leave in. It’s really lightweight so it won’t weigh down low porosity hair and it provides a lot of slip and the ingredients promote curl formation and moisture retention. It’s my favorite leave in. What I think you need most though is a good, medium to strong hold gel. Be sure to check the ingredients to avoid aloe! NYM curl Talk has a good gel that is available in medium or strong hold and it works well with the KC knot today leave in

I think you should try a harder casting gel something labeled as "maximum hold". I like Aussie instant freeze

The Aussie gel is pretty thick and heavy, and at least right now it may be a bit much for your hair. I'd try experimenting with some lighter options (maybe just cut that out and try it with the cream and mousse, or even just the mousse on its own), and see what you get. I'd focus on a 'less is more' mindset while you figure your hair out - heavier products can weigh waves down, and having a lot of products can make it hard to figure out what is doing what for your hair. Styling using a brush (denman and bounce curl are two popular ones) can also help with frizz, although as others have said, frizz is also just a part of curly/wavy hair. Watching a few videos might help you get some ideas for improving definition.
