“It is the same issue All Clad had. The dishwasher detergent breaks down the aluminum core leaving the edges of the SS layers exposed and sharp. The edges are not sealed, so they should not be put in the dishwasher despite the manual saying they are dishwasher safe. Technically, they are dishwasher safe, be ause they can survive it. However, they should not go in the dishwasher. If you want dishwasher safe, you need to buy pans with sealed rims.”

“Return the GreenPan and keep the Viking. The coating on GreenPan lasts like two months before food begins sticking to it. Six if you're lucky. They coating itself will still be in good condition, but the nonstick performance never lasts long. It's been said that the GP5 has their most durable coating, but there's not a whole lot of difference between that and the very early GreenPans when they launched on HSN back in 2007 or so.”
