+8 ptsâIt depends on needs. The Airfanta 3 Pro is a cool idea because itâs simple and highly effective, but it doesnât come with features or a carbon filter stock. This is basically a mini CR box that does an excellent job on particulate matter in the air. Blueair makes a number of nice units if youâre okay with the ionizer. With their sale prices, they offer a combination of high performance with well tuned noise and efficiency. Clean Air Kits offer great particulate filter options for people seeking low sound levels, decent performance, and cheap maintenance costs. Winix and Coway make feature rich air purifiers that are mostly reliable and well designed, they also include carbon filters for VOCs. Levoit makes nice air purifiers at certain price points. The Vital 200S is under $200 and offers decent performance and energy efficiency.â

Watch the videos by AirPurifierFirst on Youtube, and do a search to read what others here have to say on these units. I have Levoit units and especially like the Vital 200s.â

+7 ptsâI have two barely used 600S that emit obnoxious foul smelling odor and fill the room with VOCs. Complete waste of money and we purchased extra filters too. Please update if you ever get anywhere. This is starting to seem like a widespread problem they're ignoring from what I've seen lately here.â
