The lost money is a downside, but at least now you know what not to go for in a laptop in the future. Also, what the actual fuck is that dismal 42wh battery?! No wonder your battery life is horrible with that small ass battery. Definitely look for a different laptop and do NOT replace the battery. I use an Acer Swift X 14 (SFX 14-71G-55SR) and it's working wonders. Battery life on it is also shaky though, due to it having an RTX 4050 and an i5 13500H, but through some managing it gets you through the day. Performance is really good, so maybe look into that! I live in Europe and got it from Amazon for 1k on a lightning deal (original price is 1.4k) so it might be hard to find, but try your luck. If you're in America, you could find craze deals on Best Buy etc. so be on the lookout. Lenovo has its own LOQ and Legion series with DGPU's, but they're gaming laptops so their battery life won't be extremely good (roughly 4 ish hours) so I wouldn't recommend it based on your needs, but they're decent laptops as a whole.”

“Gigabyte & Lenovo make some performance powerhouses that don’t look like it. Personally I pick Gigabyte. I am running a 4060, i7-12650H, 64gb ddr5, 3tb of m.2 in a Gigabyte G5 KF5(2023). My laptop is budget, I have about $1200 into it. Gigabyte makes even better models. Good port availability. Keyboard lighting is customizable but really the only feature that looks “gaming” related, can be turned off entirely or made white.”
