Best praise vs top criticism for ViewSonic PX701-4K
“A good projector is a better choice for gaming. For your $600-$800 budget, you'll likely need to compromise on either resolution (1080p instead of 4K) or go for a lamp-based projector instead of laser. “I have the 710 standard. For almost a year now. I have it paired with a 120 inch screen and a 5.1 surround setup. Colors are nice, hdr is good, resolution is amazing considering it has pixel shifting. Didn't try the 3D yet. I haven't oened or seen higher end projectors, only the Viewsonic px701 (similar specs), and that one had a dust blob so I returned it and got the Benq. I am really satisfied with this one. I was worried at first because when I first turned it on i saw very clearly the rainbow effect, but it went away at the next day. Have that in mind, it affects people in different ways. There are folks that can't stand it even after a long time.”
