Best praise vs top criticism for The Ordinary Serum Foundation
“I loved this foundation so much! I hope the formula stays the same, but the odds are slim. Anytime a product comes back, it hardly ever comes back better.”
“The Ordinary foundation is also not a great one for dry skin imho. You’ll need something much more hydrating and long lasting. I personally would go to Sephora and get a few samples of: -NARS Natural Radiant Longwear -Too Faced Born this Way -Dior Forever Skin Glow -Makeup Forever Hydra Glow When applying, use very little at first and then try adding only in places that need coverage. If you have very dry skin you probably don’t need to powder. These particular foundations also set nicely and don’t slip around. Primer is kind of whatever if you don’t have good skincare. It doesn’t have to be expensive. I would recommend Cerave or Vanicream (both in tub format) day and night. Try a hydrating skin essence/toner beforehand; I personally use the Missha SKII dupe. Other than dryness your skin doesn’t look super textured so I wouldn’t recommend necessarily any actives, maybe a glycolic acid toner (like the one from the Ordinary) once every other day and then like a retinol serum which I recommend for everyone tbh. ”
