tldr; Classic design Samsung. Physical bezel, aging. Still works.

Best praise vs top criticism for Samsung Galaxy Watch 3
“WearOS offers a lot as it really makes the watch into a tiny smartphone. But it has its costs to offer that. A simpler OS (as Tizen was) is really more suited for these relatively small devices with (compared to full smartphones) tiny tiny batteries - for obvious physics reasons with current battery tech. That is why the OnePlus watch 3/2 solution of offering dual boot is so smart an idea. Work with a more primitive but much leaner OS normally AND offer you the option to boot into WearOS when you need the fancy stuff. Or the other way round: Use with WearOS when frequent charging is not a problem, and boot into the leaner OS when you prefer prolonged stamina. IMHO **all** fancy smartwatches *ought* to have the option to dumb down so it was never more power-hungry than needed for the user's selected active features.”
“"Best" does not have an easy objective answer. That said Samsung (like aPple in their sect) locks some featutes to their own system only, so I would suggest to not support this crooked behaviour and stay away from their devices! That said WearOS devices generally has a very poor stamina and most needs daily charging. The least bad stamina with WearOS you will get from a Onelus Watch 3. Also note that it cleverly allows tou to dual boot into a leaner OS when you are not strictly in need of the fancy stuff of WearOS.”
