Best praise vs top criticism for Razer Pro Type Ultra
“Hello people! I just got the Razer pro type ultra for the office and I absolutely love how it looks. want to get one for my home set up also but at home I would like to use the clickiest loudest switch possible and l’ve been told those are the Box Jades. If I desolder the razer pro would it be compatible with those switches? I also plan to have a shop desolder it.What type of shops would be my best bet(I live in turkey) mechanic shops? Pc repair shops? Also would appreciate switch advice if you think there are louder ones out there Thanks you so much”
“I feel you - it took me a couple of attempts (not because I wantes to be in with that cool kids obvs....😳) and routes in before I joined the gang. My first modern mech keyboard was a Razr Pro Type Ultra with these silent linear switches, it had been really heavily promoted and I HATED it. I type a lot for work and coming from a Logitech MX Keys the combo of tall-ish kepcaps with long travel, really light nothingy actuation and zero feedback from the switches made me feel like I was constantly scrabbling around. My mis-hits were sky high and I ended up with carpal tunnel (!) and went back to an MX Keys mini. Totally agree with the comment above (if it's still there) that if you do come back go for a decent tactile or even a clicky. My mains driver rn has Kailh Box Navies (which I don't find heavy at all) and I hopefully have a set of Zealios V2 78g coming soon for my first proper custom build. I 100% feel like when you get used to typing on a decent low profile membrane like you've gone back to, you really need heavy, hwrd switches Nd good feedback from a mechanical”
