Best praise vs top criticism for Predator 4400
“Was down for 5 plus days from a tornado that hit us in NW Houston, TX. Had a Predator 4400 Inverter Gen (was updated due to customer complaints) but so far I think I got a good one. Aside from bringing it down for the 100 hour oil change and fuel, it ran non-stop for the duration. Was able to power an 8k and 5k BTU window AC simultaneously and the fridge. Surprisingly it handled it all on Eco but still in roughly a 24 hour period it would eat 8 to 10 gallons of gas. I guess it’s a trade off. I shopped around and ended up ordering a Champion 4550 inverter gen dual fuel and on paper it holds less gas but has a longer run time. I hope this hits the sweet spot but there is something to be said for the suitcase generator and keeping the resources down by running maybe one window AC and a fridge. I’m interested to see how this all works out. I also have the Predator 3500 as a backup. Never want to get caught short. 🤦🏻♂️”
