Best praise vs top criticism for New Balance Fresh Foam X 860v13
“Which 860 do you have? Maybe yours are older and feel flat by now? I have the 860v13 and swear by them, perfect for my flat feet and super low arches! Got two pairs, one for walking and one for running. However, for running 10k and more, I prefer higher cushioned shoes like the Vongo (I have saucony and ASICS shoes for that though). But for walking and standing I’d never consider that much of cushioning, especially since these are also quite rockered. So, my tip: 860v13, the fresh foam x is amazing all day.”
“Hello, I'm barely starting out jogging/walking to break out of a sedentary lifestyle, along with general day to day use. I'm looking to find shoes that are good for flat feet. I also overpronate (probably due to the flat feet). I've tried New Balance Fresh Foam X 860 V13. When first putting them on, they feel great, but over time, they hurt to stand on. Almost feels like my arches get tired of the shape. Went to a podiatrist. Turns out my feet are quite strong in spite of being flat, so he didn't feel I needed orthotics or PT. He said that any shoe with a thick sole should work well. He mentioned Hoka. I tried the Gaviota and Arahis, but I feel like my inner arch is hugging the side or edge of the shoe. Seems like this is a pretty common complaint about Hoka, but I've also run into that problem with other shoes as well. Seems like my feet can't accommodate pronounced arch support. Looking for recommendations for brands/shoes that would help with the issues I mentioned above. Is there anyone who's had similar issues, but found a shoe that worked for them?”
