+3 pts“Maybe it's just me but sounding good depends on the context, when I'm gaming I'm usually chatting with friends and listening to music over the game I'm playing so obviously sound accuracy isn't perfect... Plus for a gaming headset there are other needs such as being able to hear precisely where the noises come from for example... For gaming I'd consider a JBL 910 a good headset, good all around, correct mic, long battery etc... For music, any JBL thing sucks or most... I can't afford to have multiple headsets so no hifi one for now since I need a Bluetooth one for traveling and commuting. It's currently a Sennheiser HD 4.5 but if I can afford it some day it'll be a Focal Bathys I think.”

+2 pts“Kinda hard to find THE one I'd say. I last one I tried is the Turtle Beach 700 Gen 3 and yes, the song is great, the bass is fun, but damn that it's a troublesome headset. If I use a preset, I have to turn off and on the headste because there's no audio. It's kinda annoying. If trebbles isn't your thing, look for the JBl Quantum 610 on sale. The 810 is useless (shitty ANC) so not worth the extra and the 910 is a gimmick headset. The A50 Gen 5 (Or X) is good but it's annoying to charge them on a dock. If you don't want to spend too much, the Hyper X Cloud III Wireless is a good one with a good enough bass. Mic is more than fine. Me, I like clear sound so more trebbles for me. Corsair HS80 have a great mic and decent bass. DO NOT TOUCH THE MAX. Is a huge downgrade for the mic. My best advice, shop from a place you can send back if you don't like them like Amazon. If you can, use Dolby Atmos or any EQ app you can use. It's quite useful if you want more bass. How much you want to spend is the most important question. Remember that a $$$ headset won't guarantee you the best sound quality. Also, people will always say a modmic with a wired headphones, but I like what a headset can give you as a package deal.”
