+45 pts“I will say we have a non WiFi monitor (infant optics) and we love it. I feel so much safer knowing they (rarely) get hacked into. One time we also lost internet for 2 days due to some storms, and I was so grateful we had a non WiFi one or we literally wouldn’t have been able to use a baby monitor. It has a decently far range, I’ve used it with no problem all the way in the back of our backyard which is huge. I also like that when I’m out and my husband is with the baby, I’m not tempted to check the baby monitor because I literally can’t lol. It helps you disconnect and I enjoy that. I do understand wanting access with a nanny or babysitter though, so I don’t have any advice for that. If that’s a huge deciding factor I say go for the WiFi one, because there’s no work around with a non WiFi monitor unless you got a ring or nest camera for the house for times that you’re away.”
