Best praise vs top criticism for Hoka Challenger ATR 7
“Asics GT-2000 12 first impressions (Hoka challenger 7 comparison). This little post to give my first impressions of the new Asics GT. Initially used in Hoka challenger 7s which I really like (great comfort, road/trail versatility). But a big problem quickly appeared on the Hoka because of my high arches which tend to collapse inwards with my ankles. As you can see in the photos I put a lot of weight on the inside of my shoes which completely crushed the foam under the ankles and caused my shoes to lean (they have almost 400km). Looking for a new, more stable and suitable pair, I was tempted by the Asics GT 2000-12 (TR version for a little more grip on the trails) given the good reviews about them. After 20km in them they feel very comfortable, good cushioning without being too soft, the pronation correction seems effective on the stride and not intrusive, I have the impression that my weight is distributed better over my entire foot . They also seem quite responsive (I just beat my 10km record with them in difficult winter conditions). So very satisfied for the moment, to see over time the resistance of the midsole at the heel which is already showing slight folds.”
“Hoka Mach 6 is the first hoka shoe that has fit my foot shape and feels good. I’ve tried Bondi 7, 8. Clifton 8, 9. Speedgoat 5. Challenger 7. Mach 5. Rincon 3. I have a pretty wide foot and the wide fits me just right”
