Best praise vs top criticism for Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical
“Usually I take my old trusty Casio G Shock GW5000. Tough, solar, waterproof and slim enough to go under armored gloves. When touring I take a Garmin GPS watch (Instinct worked best), it allows me to track and record the ride, use it as GPS-assisted speedo, has altimeter (great in the mountains), compass etc. I'd discourage wearing a mechanical watch. My old bike messed with the movement of my old Hamilton Khaki auto, the watch was several minutes fast after longer rides. However, most watches should be fine. My Omega is never bothered by riding, but I try not to wear that one on the bike.”
