Emergency Mylar Thermal Blanket

“I've slept with a mylar blanket a lot. Firstly, they are nice and neat and very small in their packaging, however once you unfold it etc. You will never get it back to its small size. Another thing, they are very loud. They make lots of noise, I repeat VERY loud when your moving etc. Also, one blanket isn't quite enough trust me on this! Two blankets taped together is the way to go. I want to say the coldest temperature I used a mylar blanket in was around 15 degrees Fahrenheit. Which is really cold. I was also sleeping in a car in the backseat with a foldable front window sun visor underneath me. I also had a fleece throw blanket over me to hold the mylar in place better and to keep the noise down. I survived that night, I was still cold and didn't sleep well, but I made it and in an shtf scenario it's better than nothing. I'd save for an ultralight sleeping bag with liner honestly.”
