“Just to add some more details. My current laptop is pretty great except the battery life I get is about 90 minutes (XPS 17) and it weighs a little over 5 pounds so it’s killer to carry in a bag all day. I want to switch over to something lighter and with better battery life for taking notes and doing assignments as I am returning to school. Studying Industrial networking so I want to have a dedicated Linux machine and dual boot ssd is also an option to run windows and Linux. I have a desktop at home so if I ever am gaming it’s on that so I don’t need to worry about gaming performance. I don’t have a large budget at all so I need something around $200 CAD in order for the purchase to make sense. T480 is the furthest back I guess I can go for the EOL of windows 10 so I’m not sure what the best laptop is going to be from the thinkpad lineup. Any and all advise is welcome thank you in advance”
