Best praise vs top criticism for Cuisinart Multiclad Pro Stainless Steel 12-Piece Set
“Cuisinart Multiclad Pro 3-ply stainless 12-pc set You can find it for between $150 and $200 on sale at Kohl's, Macy's, etc. It works just as well and feels just as solid and nice as All Clad but it's not even half the price for a giant set - these are the best pans I've ever had”
“so far everyone here is steering you in the wrong direction regarding your budget. skip all of the all-clad nonsense, its all overpriced at this point unless you want to spend your entire week scouting for deals (and its still overpriced at that point) and the handles are ungodly uncomfortable. skip made in for that matter, they're good quality but also very overpriced for what you get, and you cant get everything you're looking for at your budget ($650 for 10 and 12 inch fry pans (PLEASE IGNORE ALL SETS THAT ONLY HAVE 8 OR 10 INCH FRY PANS, YOULL THANK ME LATER), 8q stock pot, and 3q saucier). Now for an actual recommendation for your needs and your budget, check out Goldilocks pans: [https://cookgoldilocks.com/products/cookware-set-plus](https://cookgoldilocks.com/products/cookware-set-plus) $225 gets you literally everything you need and they're amazing quality and every pan in the set is essential (no fluff). You want a saucier to go with it (as suggested by another comment), throw in an OXO tri-ply 3.5q chefs pan for $45: [https://a.co/d/25DB4lp](https://a.co/d/25DB4lp) This leaves you with over $100 left over to explore and buy any other cookware you might be curious about. Couple of good things to explore and spend the leftover money on: - Carbon Steel / Cast Iron pans (these would satisfy your need to not have teflon and still get a mostly non-stick pan) - Enameled Cast Iron French/Dutch oven - High quality chefs knife - Carbon Steel Wok (if you're interested in cooking the type of food that a wok is used for) - good sheet pans and any other cookware items you think you could need. Honorable mention for the Cuisinart Multiclad Pro lineup of pans, also good quality for the price (still recommending Goldilocks). Un-Honorable mention for Tramontina, as the shape of their pans are such that the cooking surfaces on their pans are ridiculously small compared to the competition, and i would avoid them if possible.”
