tldr; ANC king, still. Best noise canceling in TWS, immersive spatial audio. Pricey and chunky though.

Best praise vs top criticism for Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds
“Compared to the Airpods Max, the [Bose QuietComfort Ultra](https://unbiasedreview.site/bose-quietcomfort) is much more comfortable for my head. The Bose can be worn on long trips, almost goes away hours into the flight. The Max reminds me it's there with heat and pressure. Compared with the Focal Bathys, the sound staging with the enhanced Bose imaging is less fatiguing than the Focal. Comfort wise, the Bose is better.”
“If you value ANC and nothing else, the QC Ultra earbuds are fantastic. If you want basic features, like Qi charging, and audio quality that doesn’t focus on the gimmick of terrible, fake surround and a stale connection to source audio devices, get something else. Their ANC is at the top of the game, bar none. There isn’t a pair of earbuds that cancels out more sound. But their audio quality is bloated and bass heavy, Bose is focusing on gimmicks like fake surround, and the laughably large charging case lacks Qi charging (you need to buy Bose’s cover for $50 to add that). Sony and Apple will get you close with ANC while they will also sound better. Same with Sennheiser, Denon, B&W, JBL (who also get shockingly close with ANC), Samsung, and others will sound better. One pair of earbuds that’s criminally underrated are the JBL Tour Pro 3. I think they sound better, they have longer battery life, ANC that’s damn close, a better app, a more stable connection, and their case is still big but it has a ton of features including Qi charging.”
