Best praise vs top criticism for Ariana & Evans Shaving Soap
“There’s a reason.. Rockwell is a great razor, at a reasonable price, and it comes with different plates to find the right level of aggression for each individual.. typically bought after lurking this sub-Reddit and finding the Majority of wet-shavers would concur it is a great option for a “Starter kit” doesn’t scare off newbs, and once you get the hang of things, you can use the 5 and 6 plates to achieve a more efficient shave. Stirling Soaps are also highly regarded in the community, and when you are new to the hobby and seeing as many people recommend Stirling Soaps as more expensive brands like Barrister, A&E, Noble Otter and such.. it just makes sense to go with the company that seems to offer better value/bang for your buck, as they haven’t yet experienced… the rabbit hole!”
“Can’t really be compared to an artisan soap Like B&M or A&E in terms of lather quality, the selling point of MDC is that it will last as long as three tubs of most soaps, but it is triple the cost ($100 Canadian for MDC or $32 for B&M) If you compare it to something similar to itself, like the $8 100g triple milled pucks like Razorock it seems even more overpriced even for its 200g size, they lather near identically. It’s a fine soap but at the same time it’s just a simple Italian style soap that’s mostly coconut oil, water and glycerin. It’s a well liked soap but honestly it’s just a mid/average compared to artisan soaps. That’s just my opinion after owing all the above mentioned soaps.”
