Best praise vs top criticism for Anker Soundcore Life P2 Mini
“No it's too much.. I'm a bass lover and the p20i is too heavy compared to my 5 year old p2 life mini which actually sound really good in comparison. The p20i smothers absoultely every other frequency.. This is coming from somebody with studio monitor setup yamaha hs8 with yamaha hs subwoofer... The bass can be so heavy it drowns out every possibility of hearing the full frequency of the song, it's just too much. The p20i eq can be changed to different presets but its just too bass heavy without producing the higher frequencies, you just cant hear whats going on in the music with them sadly, the liberty 4 which are 4x the price I found to be exactly the same. I love soundcore because you can return but I am tempted to try some galaxy buds fe from ebay now to see if they are an upgrade from the p2 life mini otherwise I will get a couple more pairs of the p2 life mini, I feel like the p2 life mini sounds slightly tinny but what do you expect with £25 headphones, at least you can hear every frequency going on in the song and can appreciate every part.... unless you spend £££ or ££££ on an IEM setup then surely you will suffer something, I just need to be able to try before I buy, hence why I may go to a shop in london to try some IEM this year and see what they are like if you spend ££££. My studio monitor setup cost a little over ££££ and absolutely smashes every sound in existence with pure unadultered audio, zero loss, so I know what I'm looking for. Pure electronic sound. Bass is absolutely up in my list but compared to the yamahas, bass can definetely drown music out and ruin it completely, you have to be able to distinguish the higher frequencies otherwise you'll be let down massively....”
